Birmingham, Alabama-based soul group St. Paul and The Broken Bones, will bring their roof-raising live show to the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. This soul band delivers grit, elemental rhythm, tight-as-a-drumhead playing, and a profound depth of feeling. Front man for the group, Paul Janeway, is a legendary soul singer who was raised on the Gospel side. Other members are bassist Jesse Philllips, guitarist Browan Lollar, drummer Andrew Lee, and brass player Allen Bransetter.
“Half the City” is the compelling full-length Single Lock/Thirty Tigers debut of the sextet that was recorded and mixed in the storied R&B mecca of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. It harkens back to the region’s classic soul roots while extending the form with electrifying potency.
Doors 8:00 p.m. / Show 9:00 p.m.
