The 3rd Annual St Augustine High School AICE Program’s Silent Auction will be held April 15-17, 2016. St. Augustine High School’s AICE Booster Club, a group of students and parents, will be hosting the 3-day event to raise funds for the AICE program. This event will be held in conjunction with the St. Johns County Center for the Arts’ spring musical, “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying”.
This International Pre-University Preparation Program from Cambridge University in England is offered to students by invitation only through an application process with strict academic requirements. There are numerous benefits for students who participate in the Cambridge AICE Program, including:
• the potential to earn college credits by exam.
• the potential to earn the AICE Diploma Award guaranteeing the Florida Academic Scholars Bright Futures Award.
• advanced standing in the increasingly competitive college admissions process.
Funds raised through the silent auction will be used for many things such as: providing opportunities to recognize the Cambridge AICE students and their accomplishments, hosting events for recruiting new participants, assisting with the personal costs sometimes involved in earning credits by exam, and providing college tours for students in need. There are often unbudgeted items as well that address needs for families in financial crisis. Supporting these families can alleviate stress, allowing students to concentrate on their studies and perform at their true potential.
All money raised during this event will benefit our Cambridge AICE Program and a portion of the auction proceeds will also be donated to the SJCCA program. Please support our community and its students by attending both the auction and show.
Friday, April 15th: 6pm – 8:30pm
Saturday, April 16th: 6pm – 8:30pm
Sunday, April 17th: 1pm – 5pm
The Final Auction Event & Reception will be held at 5pm after Sunday’s show. The Reception will be in the St. Augustine HS Cafeteria. Bidding tables will begin closing at 5pm.
