The St. Augustine Amphitheatre welcomes the return of reggae-rock favorites Slightly Stoopid and their “Return of the Red Eye” Tour featuring special guests SOJA and Fortunate Youth. Slightly Stoopid, known for their fusion of folk, rock, reggae, and blues with hip-hop, punk, funk and D.I.Y. work ethic, have currently sold over 900,000 records on their own Stoopid Records label. Their most recent studio album “Meanwhile… Back at the Lab” reached #3 on the Billboard Top Alternative Albums chart and #37 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart.
SOJA’s lead singer, Jacob Hemphill, says; ““I want to speak for people who don’t have microphones. Our goal as a band is to stick up for the human race. We see the world and we try to make it better in the limited time we have here.”
Fortunate Youth is a collaboration of South Bay reggae stand-outs. The band combines rootsy vibes and unique bass lines with multiple harmonies, boisterous guitar solos, and heavy keys.
