There are shells on the beach, but why are they there? How did they get there and what is their purpose? During Shells of Anastasia, learn the answers to these questions and more as we explore the interesting protective nature of shells for the animals and humans of St. Augustine!
This will be an interpretive program followed by a short hike onto the beach (weather permitting), so please dress comfortably and appropriately. Please bring a refillable water bottle. Sunscreen and/or bug spray is recommended.
The program will take place at the Sea Turtle Pavilion located near the beach and by the Island Beach Grill.
Regular park entry fees apply:
$8.00 per vehicle; limit 2-8 people per vehicle.
$4.00 per single-occupant vehicle.
$2.00 per pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers, passengers in vehicle with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Pass.
