Come on out to the Friends of Washington Oaks monthly plant sale held the second Saturday of each month! Plant sales feature a wonderful selection of flowers, plants, and bushes along with the unusual and hard to find plants for your home, patio, and garden. You may find Florida Natives among the selections on the plant benches. A portion of the plants were propagated and grown in the park and all the proceeds from the sale directly go back to benefit the park. July’s plant sale will specialize in Florida Friendly Plants and Novelties.
At 11am the “Plant Chat” will feature the care and culture of Bromeliads. This extraordinary family of plants is prized by many gardeners and is very rewarding to grow and collect. Participants will become familiar with the characteristics of Bromeliads and the use and care of them in the home, patio, and garden.
Regular park entrance fee of $5 per vehicle, up to eight people; $4 per vehicle for single occupancy or $2 per person on bicycle applies. Call 386-446-6783 for more information.
