Come on out to the Friends of Washington Oaks monthly plant sale held the second Saturday of each month! Plant sales feature a wonderful selection of flowers, plants, and bushes along with the unusual and hard to find plants for your home, patio, and garden. You may find Florida Natives among the selections on the plant benches. A portion of the plants were propagated and grown in the park and all the proceeds from the sale directly go back to benefit the park.
Have you ever admired “ART” in a garden? The possibilities are endless…birdbaths, fountains, benches, bridges, statuary and structures, creatively recycled items and ornate containers are all artistic touches that any gardener can create or purchase.
Join us at 11am for our workshop to learn tips for crafting “Garden Art” with an emphasis on keeping it simple. Participants will hear a brief history of art in famous gardens around the world and will receive a map of “ART” found throughout Washington Oaks.
Regular park entrance fee of $5 per vehicle, up to eight people; $4 per vehicle for single occupancy or $2 per person on bicycle applies.
