Classically trained artist, Anthony Ackrill, will be at Lost Art Gallery for an Opening Reception during First Friday Art Walk. He’ll gladly receive inquiries regarding his exceptional art which will be on display through the month of April.

Born in Alaska, Anthony received his formal art training at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy. Ackrill became an instructor at the academy, teaching anatomy, figure painting and drawing before returning to Florida.

Anthony’s artwork on display was created in Gainesville where he lived and worked. The paintings were all painted from life, with careful observations of nature and requiring a live model to pose in the studio. These pictures consistently reveal what inspires the artist most — light, nature, water and humans.
