Enjoy the kick-off to the Holiday season with this annual celebration…the Nights of Lights “Light Up Night”. Holiday music! The lighting of the Christmas Tree! The exciting countdown to the sparkle of nearly three million tiny white lights glowing along the ancient streets and historic buildings of the Nation’s oldest city!
The program begins at 4:00pm with a musical performance by Showtime USA in front of St. Augustine’s City Hall (Lightner Museum). Then at 5:30pm, Holiday music will fill the air from the Gazebo stage in the city’s historic Plaza de la Constitucion. At 6:30pm, the lighting ceremony begins with the lighting of the Christmas Tree, followed by the countdown to the flipping of a switch that fills every corner of the city with brilliant, magical holiday sparkle. Entertainment continues in the Plaza until 8:00pm.
Stay and linger in the downtown area for dinner. Do some shopping or simply enjoy the beauty of the city and the company of good friends. Come join the fun! Selected by National Geographic as one of the ten best holiday lighting displays in the world!
Several streets will be pedestrian only. Traffic Summary — Closed to vehicles, 6:00pm-9:00pm: Hypolita St., Spanish St., Treasury St. (Authorized access will be allowed at Treasury and Cordova Sts.). Closed as needed starting at 6:00pm: Cathedral Pl., King St. east of Cordova Street. King Sreet and Cathedral Pl. — on street parking on will be restricted throughout the day.
The City of St. Augustine is offering a free Park & Ride Shuttle on Light Up Night and to coincide with the busiest weekends during the Nights of Lights; November 25 & 26 and every Saturday night in December. The shuttle will bring passengers to the Visitor Information Center and will operate from 1pm to 11pm with pick-ups approximately every 20 minutes.

In the spirit of giving, the United way will be collecting non-perishable food donations from 3pm – 6pm at the following locations:
• the Historic Downtown Parking Facility adjacent to the Visitor Information Center
• the front lawn of City Hall (Lightner Museum)
• the park at the east end of Bridge of Lions, informally called Davis Park
