The St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum hosts the Maritime Folk Art Workshop Series throughout the fall, winter, and spring. Learn traditional art forms from a handful of remaining, practicing Folklife Artists who will pass down their knowledge and skills in fishnet making, palm frond weaving, traditional dancing and foods, quilting and more.
As part of the Winter 2017 schedule, Cuban Foodways will be offered from 10am-12pm on Saturdays in February; 11th, 18th, & 25th. Marisella Veiga, traditional Cuban cook, will share her knowledge and love of traditional Cuban cooking. With each class, you’ll be able to add to your list of favorite dishes to make and eat!
