Come enjoy the 37th Lincolnville Festival…this year celebrating an important milestone. 150 years ago, in 1866, Lincolnville was founded by recently freed slaves and later played a major role in the Civil Rights Movement.
The Lincolnville Festival was initially called the Washington Street Festival and originated in 1979 on Labor Day Weekend. The name changed around 1981 to the Lincolnville Festival. The festival’s objective has always been the revitalization of the Lincolnville Community.
This year the Festival will be bigger and better than ever. One of the founding fathers, Doug Carn…internationally known jazz musician, will be one of the featured performers. Come join the fun!
The event includes:
* Free live music and dancing
