Artist, actor, author and punk rock icon Henry Rollins returns to the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall to present his “Travel Slideshow Spoken Word” featuring photos and observations from his travels around the globe. For many years, Rollins has used his camera to document his travels around the world. Join Henry for an intimate evening as he tells the stories behind the photos he’s taken, from Baghdad to Timbuktu. Rollins will present a special performance drawing on experiences and his vast archive of photographs.
Rollins has toured the world as a spoken word artist, as frontman for both Rollins Band and Black Flag and as a solitary traveler with insatiable curiosity, favoring road-less-traveled locales in places such as Nepal, Sri Lanka, Siberia, North Korea, South Sudan and Iran. He’s well known for his popular spoken word performances, or “talking shows” as he calls them. These shows are a seamless (yet seemingly extemporaneous) mix of political commentary and personal anecdote, full of humor, outrage, pop culture, along with a healthy dose of skepticism.
Doors 7:00pm / Show 8:00pm
