The GTM Research Reserve hosts Afternoon Insight on the third Wednesday of themed educational months (February, April, June, and August). Led by our knowledgeable volunteer docents, as well as researchers and members of environmental organizations, visitors can learn about plant and animal life found in estuarine habitats.
This months’ lecture is titled “Afternoon Insight: Shorebirds”. The guest speaker, Shea Armstrong, is the coordinator of the Florida Shorebird Alliance. She’ll give an overview of how the shorebird alliance works and how to get involved. Learn about becoming a beach steward, sign up for a local partnership, and discover opportunities to become a shorebird monitor.
Enjoy free admittance to the Exhibit Hall before the lecture. Tickets to the lecture are free, but you are required to register.
