Come explore the newest hands-on environmental education resource in Northeast Florida! The St. Johns River Center: Adventures in a Wetlands Ecosystem is a highly interactive facility demonstrating the importance of the St. Johns River and surrounding wetland ecosystems. The center features hands-on activities that highlight the importance of this unique environment and it’s relationship to the area’s culture and history.
Entertainment and refreshments will be provided while celebrating the center’s unique educational curricula.
Following the grand opening event, to be hosted by the City of Palatka and Georgia-Pacific Palatka Pulp and Paper Operations on July 14, the center will be open to the public.
