Students will experience the basic concepts of improvisation – and their real world applications — in a supportive, team-oriented setting. The class is designed to build self-confidence and explore creativity using the fundamentals of improvisation.
Created for both actors and non-actors, the experiential learning environment will expose students to:
Using specific communications tools for more dynamic interactions Staying focused on the present moment
Creating successful collaborations Embracing — and using — failure for increased resilience Participating in co-creative environments for a stronger team dynamic
Thriving in an unscripted environment
Students leaving this course will have a working understanding of the basic fundamentals of improvisational theater as well as an increased appreciation, and comfort, with living life without a script.
