The National Park Service is pleased to announce that the ferry service at Fort Matanzas National Monument is ready to resume operations. The passenger ferry to the fort has been closed to the public due to extensive damage to the docking system from Hurricane Matthew.
Beginning Tuesday, June 27th from 12:30pm to 4:30pm we will begin transporting park visitors to the fort.
Our normal ferry schedule (9:30am-4:30pm, weather permitting) will resume on Wednesday, June 28th. Fort Matanzas is open from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Passengers must obtain a boarding pass from the park’s Visitor Center to travel to the fort. There are no fees to enter the park or to take our ferry to the fort.
