It’s time to think about the Fort Matanzas and Castillo de San Marcos National Monuments annual summer camp program! Park Rangers, Teachers from St. Johns County, and knowledgeable volunteers will engage campers, ages 9-11, with interactive presentations, hands-on projects, games, and living history demonstrations. The camps cover a variety of topics, including: Archaeology, Native Americans, Nature, Spanish Exploration, Colonial Florida, and Spanish Military. Students will have the opportunity to work on projects involving pottery, leatherwork, textiles, musket drills and more!

June 19-23, 2017 — Hands-on-History Camps at the Castillo
June 26-30, 2017 — Hands-on-History Camps at the Castillo
All three camps are Monday-Friday, 9:00am-1:00pm.

The cost for camp is a nonrefundable fee of $25. Registration begins on Monday, April 3. Contact Alicia Day, Reservationist, Mon.-Fri., between 9:00 am- 3:00 pm.
