As part of the Florida Heritage Book Festival, Stetson Kennedy Legacy: Man in the Mirror will be presented in the Lewis Auditorium. This event honors the centennial of the late of Stetson Kennedy, American folklorist and human rights activist with a performance by Young Minds Readers Theater of Jacksonville, and a conversation on Kennedy’s impact between Dr. Peggy A. Bulger, retired executive director of the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress and Dr. Ben Brotemarkle, executive director of the Florida Historical Society.

The annual Florida Heritage Book Festival includes a Writers Conference on September 15 and 16 and a Book Festival on September 17, 2016. Every year the Festival showcases Florida’s rich and diverse literary legacy with author presentations and this year the bar has been raised even higher. Bestselling authors, whose body of work (both fiction and non-fiction) is truly impressive, have been added to the mix.
