The First Coast Pastel Society’s Juried Members Show will be featured in the Scene Gallery at the Cultural Center from April 27 through June 2, 2018 with the Opening Reception and Award Presentation on April 27th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

The Master Pastelist of the Pastel Society of America, Christine Ivers, will be jurying the exhibit. Currently a board member of the International Association of Pastel Associations and a past board member of the Pastel Society of America, Ivers will also be giving a workshop April 29 to May 1, 2018 for registered participants. Her demonstration is titled “Explore the Dark Side” and focuses on painting night scenes.

The First Coast Pastel Society is based in NE Florida, with members from Jacksonville, St. Augustine, and points north, west and south. The Society offers workshops, demonstrations and plein air opportunities in their monthly meetings and welcome new members. The FCPS mission is to promote the use of soft pastel in the Society and community while evolving the art medium.
