Three oil paintings by legendary St. Augustine artist Emmett Fritz (1917-1975) are on display during the month of August. A student of Norman Rockwell for a brief period, Fritz moved to St. Augustine from Long Island, NY in 1950 and became a prolific and popular plein air painter, producing still lifes, landscapes, marine paintings, and especially paintings of St. Augustine. His work is now highly valued by collectors.
