Celebrate Earth Day by joining Master Naturalist and State Park Volunteer, Arliss Ryan, for an Earth Day Hike! Hikers will travel through the maritime hammock and tidal salt marsh, to the island where remnants of the second Fort Mose were found. This walk will be muddy and wet; closed toe shoes are required, waterproof boots are recommended.
Please bring drinking water and be prepared for exposure to full sun, biting insects and heavy vegetation. Hats, long sleeves and long pants are also recommended.
Reservations are required. Please contact Vicki Tiseth at 904-823-2232 to sign up. Visit the Fort Mose website for additional information.
