The world’s largest archaeological find, a trove of 101 ancient dugout canoes near Gainesville, Florida, inspired this free exhibit at St. Augustine’s Government House. The exhibit features American dugouts from ancient times to the present, and illustrates ways they have affected life and travel throughout the Americas, from Florida to the Amazon and the Pacific.

The exhibit is sponsored by the University of Florida Historic St. Augustine, the organization charged with the preservation and interpretation of the city’s state-owned historic properties.

Open daily from 10am – 5pm through January 1, 2017.
