Crabbing Basics: Making it Delicious, Keeping it Sustainable!

May 21 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

The tidal salt marsh of Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Park is home to the Atlantic Blue Crab.  They are a keystone species of the local ecosystem that can easily be sustainably harvested!  Learn to catch these tasty crustaceans in a one hour hands-on program that is appropriate for adults and families.

We’ll be meeting at the Killdeer Pavilion, on the west side of the park.  This program is free with park admission:  $2.00 per bicycle, $4.00 vehicle with single occupant, $5.00 vehicle with up to eight people, and good for all day re-entry.  Visit the park website to register and for additional information.

Subject to cancellation due to weather conditions.

Come early and enjoy our Surf, Sun and Safety day going on from 10:00 – 3:00.
