During the Change of Flags Ceremony, The National Park Service will reenact the change of flags between the Spanish and the British in 1763.  Join national park staff, volunteers, and the St. Augustine Garrison for this event that commemorates the 1763 transfer from Spanish control to British rule. Visitors will see the changing of the guard, the massing of the Spanish and British Troops, the exchange of the keys, and the changing of the flags.

The event will be carried out by re-enactors portraying Spanish and British soldiers and will take place at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.  Re-enactors dressed in the traditional clothes of the period will also be present representing the townspeople throughout the day.

The program is included in the regular admission price.
