GRAMMY-winning, singer/songwriter Bonnie Raitt will be performing her “Dig in Deep Tour” at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. Guests, The California Honeydrops, will also be performing.
Joined by her longtime touring band: James “Hutch” Hutchinson (bass), Ricky Fataar (drums), and George Marinelli (guitar), along with Mike Finnigan (keyboards), Raitt’s 2016 North American Tour is in support of her twentieth album, “Dig In Deep”. On this album, Bonnie comes out swinging, with the twelve songs drawing on her characteristic, incomparable blend of blues, rock, R&B, and pop, from the funk of the opening “Unintended Consequence of Love” to the powerful, deeply personal ballad “The Ones We Couldn’t Be”.
Continuing a long-standing tradition in conjunction with the Guacamole Fund, Bonnie will donate one dollar from every ticket purchased to grassroots local, regional, and national organizations whose work focuses on safe and sustainable energy, social justice and human rights, environmental protection, and blues/music education.
Led by dynamic vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Lech Wierzynski, The California Honeydrops don’t just play music…they throw parties. Drawing on diverse musical influences from Bay Area R&B, funk, Southern soul, Delta blues, and New Orleans second-line, the Honeydrops bring vibrant energy and infectious dance-party vibes to their shows making the audience want to dance and sing.
