“Backing Up Nature’s Hard Drive” Lecture

The GTM Research Reserve is hosting a  lecture on birds titled “Backing Up Nature’s Hard Drive” presented by Andrew Schumann with White Oak Conversation.  This is part of the lecture series, “Afternoon Insight: Birds”.  Schumann, animal collections manager for the avian department at White Oak Conservation Holdings, LLC, will introduce the audience to some of the native conservation bird species and the work being done in the U.S. as well as outside the country.

Program is free with free admittance to the exhibit hall prior to the lecture.   Space is limited!  Reservations are needed and can be made by clicking on the event website link.  For more information, call 904-823-4500.

The “Afternoon Insight” lecture series is designed for the public to learn about plant and animal life found in estuarine habitats. Topics are presented on the third Wednesday of the themed educational months (February, April, June and August) by knowledgeable volunteers, as well as researchers and members of environmental organizations.
