Springtime in St. Augustine is ideal for exploring the rich artistic heritage of the nation’s oldest city. The St. Augustine Art Association invites the public to discover St. Augustine’s rich artistic heritage during an Art & Architecture Walking Tour. Led by an art historian, the 90-minute guided tour around the Plaza and historic streets of Old Town highlights iconic paintings, Spanish, Colonial, and Victorian architecture, stained glass, monuments, murals, public sculptures, artist studios, galleries, and more. Participants will learn about the St. Augustine Art Colony, Flager Era, and epic story of St. Augustine’s founding through the unique perspective of art.
The stroll begins and ends at the St. Augustine Art Association. Comfortable, sturdy shoes are recommended as some of the streets are uneven.
Fee is $20 per person. Space is limited. Call the St. Augustine Art Association at (904) 824-2310 by Friday, March 31, for reservations.
