An Evening with Michele Borba, Ed.D.

May 17, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

| Free

As part of Cathedral Parish School’s 100 Year Celebration, they are pleased to present the St. Augustine Community with the gift of a message on Empathy and Compassion.  Best selling author of 24 books, Dr. Michele Borba is launching her next highly anticipated book, “UnSelfie, Why Empathetic Kids Suceed in Our All-About Me World” in St. Augustine.  UnSelfie offers 9 proven habits to help nurture empathy in children from birth to young adulthood–and explains why developing empathy is a key predictor of which kids will thrive and succeed in the new global, digital driven world.

Dr. Borba is an internationally-recognized educational psychologist and parenting, bullying and character expert whose aim is to strengthen children’s empathy and resilience, and create safe, compassionate school cultures.  She has spoken to parents and teachers on five continents and delivered keynotes to over one million participants including Harvard, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, USAFA, Common Ground, Character.org, Kaiser Permanente, Johnson & Johnson, Girl Scouts of America, Wall Mart, McDonalds, Santa Clara University, and at a soon to be TEDx talk.

There will be books for sale before and after the event and a book signing with Michele Borba after the event.
