The beauty and wonder of the natural world are celebrated in this gallery-wide annual Nature & Wildlife Exhibition at the St. Augustine Art Association. Top artists from near and far, whose original pieces are sold for the benefit of conservation efforts and art education, are drawn by the large prize purse. The exhibit includes images of wild animals, plants, landscapes, birds and marine life, represented in paintings, ceramics, sculpture, photography, drawings, collages, glass art, fiber works and more.
This juried exhibit runs July 23 through August 28 with an OZ-inspired opening reception/awards party on July 23. Tickets are available by calling (904) 824-2310.
During the exhibition, special programs will take place in the gallery, including a “Go Wild For Art” Scavenger Hunt for children.
Naturalist painter Allison Watson will also lead a two-day “Landscape Painting Start Up” workshop Saturday and Sunday, July 30 and 31, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students may enroll by calling (904) 824-2310. The fee is $225.
